(Greensboro, NC) – Homelessness is a solvable issue. Guilford County and surrounding communities are invited to participate on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Forest Oaks County Club as the Elon Law School Student Bar Association (SBA) and Partners Ending Homelessness (PEH) launch the inaugural Golf for Guilford tournament.
Elon Law School’s SBA organization is proud to partner with Partners Ending Homelessness for the inaugural Golf for Guilford tournament. With the support of our devoted student body and community, we aim to not only spread awareness about the homeless community in Guilford County, but also provide a great opportunity to do something beneficial for our community.
“Guilford County is making great strides in ending homelessness,” said Darryl Kosciak, PEH Executive Director. “Golf for Guilford is a chance for us to involve the wider community in this success, inform them of how much remains to be done, and share the goals we have set for the future.”

Forest Oaks Country Club will be hosting the the inaugural Golf for Guilford Fundraiser Tournament. Forest Oaks Country Club was rated by PGA TOUR members as a favorite stop on the PGA TOUR. Carved from North Carolina hardwoods by noted architect Ellis Maples, Forest Oaks opened in 1962 to wide acclaim. It was already known as one of the best tests of golf in a state known for great golf tests when it became the home course of the venerable Greater Greensboro Open (now known as the Wyndham Championship) from 1977 to 2007. As the golf course matured, alterations to the course were necessary. in 2002, the job of restoring the course to all its glory was assigned to Davis Love III's Love Design Group.
